Victoria’s coastline is once again under threat of damaging gas exploration. This time it’s the Victorian Government willing to open the door to the gas industry to do their worst on our watch.

Your submission could not be more critically urgent.

As the world shows increasing evidence of climate crisis, the Victorian Government has opened tenders for new gas exploration. We are calling on our community to tell Jacinta Allan that our climate and environment can’t afford another gas project – and we don’t need it. Right now people across the state are switching out gas for electricity at record rates.

As ocean heatwaves become more widespread in our region, leading to massive marine die-offs on the South Australian coastline, devastating Antarctic ice melt and wholesale destruction of the kelp forests that sustain life in the Southern Ocean, we need no stronger indication that our oceans are already under way too much stress. 

The Government is calling for submissions from the community, so this is our chance to overwhelm them with our objections on the grounds of a safe climate, healthy environment and clean energy future for all Victorians.
