25TH NOVEMBER 2023 - 5PM TO 7PM

AIREYS INLET Community Centre, 6 Great Ocean Road

Don’t miss out on the inspiring short film "Southern Blast" produced by the Surfrider Foundation,  shot in the pristine wilderness of Tasmania (Lutruwita), showing how diverse communities - from surfers to crayfishers, sustainable ocean businesses, and Traditional Custodians - all coexist alongside marine life and wild landscapes.

Engaging as it is beautiful, "Southern Blast" ultimately leaves audiences with this message: the ocean between Tasmania and Victoria is worth protecting, and we all have a role to play in opposing the interests of a looming fossil fuel industry.

The film will be followed by a Q & A with founder of OCEAN (Otway Coastal Environment Action Network), Lisa Deppeler. Come along and enjoy a free movie, chat, with drinks and nibbles afterwards!

OCEAN operates on the traditional lands of the Gadubanud and Gulidjan people of the Eastern Maar Nation.  We understand their land was never ceded and that reconciliation cannot happen without acknowledging the truth around those events. We pay our respects to all First Nation Elders past, present and those emerging.
